Rules on journals borrowing
Article 1 The journals can be borrowed with Suzhou Library readers' card, and two journals can be borrowed with each card (excluding books); the total price of books and journals shall be less than 500 Yuan.
Article 2 The journals cannot be borrowed under free interlibrary loan, but they can be returned to any of the branches.
Article 3 The journals are for open-shelf borrowing, and the readers can select the journals by themselves. If you do not intend to borrow any journals, please put them back.
Article 4 After registration of journal-borrowing, please carefully check the journals for damage and missing pages, any such problems found shall be reported to the staff in time.
Article 5 The loan period for journals is 15 days, and please return in time; in case of journals overdue, a late fee will be charged at 0.05 Yuan per day. We do not provide renewal or reservation service for current issue journals.
Article 6 Please take good care of the journals after the books are borrowed; and the readers shall be responsible for compensation in case of lost or damaged journals.
Article 7 In case of loss of the current issue journals, in principle, the original publication shall be compensated. The compensation shall be more than twice the price of the original publication.
Article 8 In case of damages of journals (including interior markings, stains, cutting or tearing, damping, contamination, serious folding, scribing or tearing up), depending on the seriousness, the compensation may be as follows:
1. In case of any damages to the journal's text, illusions or schedules which are not able to be recovered, the journal shall be treated as missing;
2. In case of damages to the journal which can be recovered, the reader shall repair the journal. If the reader have the library mend the journal, the cost shall be paid by the reader at 50% of the journal price.
Article 9 In case of deliberate damage on journals or stealing journals, the compensation shall be more than 10 times the journal price.
