Macrochina Governmental Decision Support System(GDSS) is jointly developed by authorities, including the Academy of Macroeconomic Research (AMR), China Society of Macroeconomics, China Economics Award Management Committee and China Macroeconomics Information Network subjected to National Development and Reform Commission. According to the characters of routine work and decision-making demands of all ministries and commissions, local governments at all levels, the system helps the governments realize “a package of” supporting systems in the process of decision-making, it provides the full service from “Information Resource Guarantee” to “System Update and Maintenance”. Presently there are about one hundred governmental departments which use the system officially. The departments at the levels of ministries and commissions, provinces and deputy ministries and municipal units account for one third separately.

Macrochina Governmental Decision Support System has the huge economic database covering all the economic fields since 1990, and the capacity is more than one million series. When the topic of decision-making is searched, the system can provide the reference information in ten aspects, including experts’ brainpower and research project, statistical analysis, international experience, experience from other provinces and cities, national related policy and laws, related industries distribution, related foreign capitals and foreign trade, related financial revenue policy, conditions and policies of macroeconomics and the related content in the native regions(a bound system required). 

The core competitiveness of Macrochina Governmental Decision Support System (GDSS) is “Economic Intellectual Analysis System” (EIAS)owned by Macrochina only. The system merges the work characters of governments, information search technology, economic analysis method and information resource guarantee, which changes the complex specialized application to “smart pattern” practice and realizes the “individualized” service according to the requirements of governmental leaders and functional departments. For adopting the designing thoughts of “integrative”, the system can seamlessly merge into the electronic governmental affairs system.
