Our festivals --Spring Festival;affinity with books in new year, appointment with friends in library

Since 2002, Suzhou Library has been holding a reader welcoming activity"affinity with books in new year, appointment with friends in library" on Spring Festival each year. This event aims to thank the readers for their support and help to the work of Suzhou Library, to send readers blessings in the festive atmosphere, to enhance the affinity with the readers and to narrow the distance with the readers.

On the morning of the first day in Chinese lunar new year, the Librarian, accompanied by all the leaders of the library, will welcome the first group of readers in the lobby of the main building, and present the first 200 readers with flowers, "Make good use the library" readers manual, "Readings for Today" magazines, First day envelop of the new year and other presents and reading materials; they will also give signatures to those readers waiting with passion in lines and deliver new year's blessings. At the time, the Children's hall and "Mobile book caravan for children" will hold the Chinese New Year puzzle activities.
