Rules on audiovisual material borrowing

Article 1 Readers can borrow audio and video materials free of charge with Suzhou Library readers card (adult readers' card, Suzhou Citizen A card/ B card with book-borrowing function activated, children readers' card and children citizen A card); a maximum of 10 CDs can be borrowed each time (the  total price of borrowed books, journals and CDs shall not be more than 500 Yuan for adults' card, and no more than 300 Yuan for children's card).

Article 2 The borrowing period each time is 7 days which cannot be extended, and please return in time; in case of CDs overdue, a late fee will be charged at 0.1 Yuan per day.

Article 3 When you are registering for borrowing audio and video materials, please carefully check them for damages and report to our staff in time; if you neglected, you shall pay the cost of any damages on the material. In order to protect the audio and video materials, please bring back the boxes with the CDs when returning.

Article 4 In case of damage or loss of audio and video materials due to your negligence, you shall be responsible for compensation:

You can choose from the following two ways to compensate:

1. buy the same version of audio and video material and pay 5 Yuan as processing fee (for data production and bar code costs)

2. pay twice the price of the damaged or lost CDs (for loss or damage of sets of  series discs, the compensation shall be for the whole set.)

3. In case of lost CD protection cover, a processing fee of 5 Yuan shall be paid.

Article 5 Audiovisual materials can be searched according to the title and the starring names.

Article 6 The readers must take good care of the bar codes on the CDs, which shall be  consistent with the ones on the covers, to prevent difficulties in borrowing and returning of the CDs. 

Article 7 Please keep your bags in the self-service storage counter or at the main service counter. Please do not bring in food, beverages or books (prints) and keep the room clean.
